Match the Dumpster to the Job
Concrete, Dirt & Heavy Material
Dense materials need a smaller weight-focused dumpster. Our 7-yard option is designed specifically for approved heavy loads.
Heavy-material dumpster guide →Large Renovations & Cleanouts
Larger-volume projects often benefit from the 20-yard dumpster, especially when debris is bulky but not extremely dense.
Large-project dumpster guide →Roofing Projects
Roofing debris can become heavy quickly. Dumpster selection depends on roofing material, square footage, number of layers, and total expected weight.
Remodeling Projects
Kitchen, bathroom, flooring, and general remodeling projects commonly fit into a 15- or 20-yard dumpster depending on project scope.
What to Know Before You Choose
Standard 4-Day Rental
Our standard dumpster rental period is 4 days. Additional time may be available depending on scheduling and dumpster availability.
Disposal Billed Separately
Disposal is billed at the actual disposal facility cost based on material type and weight. PDX Dumpster does not mark up disposal fees.
Driveway-Friendly Placement
Our trailer dumpsters use rubber tires and driveway protection boards to help reduce the risk of scraping or damaging residential surfaces.
Common Dumpster Sizing Questions
What is the most popular dumpster size?
The 20-yard dumpster is our most requested size overall, while the 15-yard dumpster is a practical choice for many medium-size residential projects.
Can I put concrete in a 20-yard dumpster?
Heavy materials should not be loaded into a larger dumpster without approval. Concrete, dirt, brick, gravel, tile, and similar dense materials are generally better suited to the 7-yard heavy-material dumpster.
What if I am not sure which size I need?
Call or text us with the project type and approximate amount of debris. You can also send photos, and we can help determine which dumpster size makes the most sense.
Can I fill the dumpster above the top?
No. Materials should remain within the container's safe fill line so the dumpster can be transported safely and legally.
